All parents especially mothers have a tough time feeding vegetables to their kids.
So here is an easy way to give them beetroot , without the kids knowing what they are eating.
Ingredients -
Beetroot - 1/4 of a medium beetroot chopped
Wheat Flour - 1/2 cup
Salt to taste
Jeera - 1/2 tsp
chilli powder - 1 pinch
Oil or ghee - 1 tsp
1. Pressure cook the chopped beetroot along with salt , turmeric and chilli powder and little water.
2. Now, in mixing bowl, take the wheat flour with little salt, mix well.
3. Make a puree of the cooked beetroot,or just mash it with a laddle nicely.
4. Add this to the flour and make a dough.
5. Finally coat the dough with ghee or oil and leave aside for 10 minutes.
6. Now, make balls of equal size out of the dough and make flat chapathis using rolling pin.
7. Heat a flat griddle and cook the tortillas/chapathis until they are done on both sides. You can spread ghee or oil or butter on them.
8. Serve this either as tortillas / chapathi rolls, with jam or sauce spread on it, or serve them with any chutney or yogurt. You can also use them as wraps for other recipes.
