Mango Pachadi

Mango Pachadi Mango Pachadi This is a very simple and easy to make recipe. It is a Chettinaad Vegetarian Speciality. The type of Mango to be used in this recipe to get the best taste is mooku mangai. The indredients needed are Mango - cut with skin - 1 cup Onion - 1 small G. Chillies - 3 small Toor Dal - 3/4 th cooked - 1/2 cup Urad dal - 1 tsp Jeera - 1 tsp Curry leaves - few leaves Asafoetida - 1 pinch Method of Preparation 1. In a pan put the mango pieces and cook it gently.     It should not be mashed. 2. In a skillet, heat 1 tbsp oil and season with urad dal, jeera,asafoetida, curry leaves and green chillies. 3. Now, add the cooked mango, and the cooked toor dal . 4. Add salt as per taste and serve. This recipe can be modified into sweet pachadi, by substituting jaggery powder as per taste in place of cooked toor dal.
