கத்திரிக்காய் கோசம்மல்லி
This is a dish which even Bachelor's can prepare. It is called கத்திரிக்காய் கோசம்மல்லி. It is a chettinaad special side dish for idli and dosa.
Ingredients :
Onion - 1 medium
Tomato - 1 medium
Green chillies - 5
Eggplant - 4 large (large will have seeds)
Tamarind - small gooseberry size (amla size)
Curry leaves - few
Coriander leaves - few chopped
Method of Preparation :
1. Pressure cook the eggplants and keep aside. Let it cool.

you can also add 2 boiled potatoes (pressure cook them along with the eggplants)at step 5, this would give a great taste and a good thickness to the gravy. it also boosts the nutritive value!
